Meleah will always be grateful to the hungry, young writers and editors she years ago worked with at The Minnesota Daily, the University of Minnesota’s student newspaper. Like her, they learned much of what they needed to know to ply this sometimes-bizarre trade while working in that cluttered, basement office awash in the sound of clattering keyboards.
